2. TIPS FOR MUM

Busy Mums
Leave to defrost in fridge overnight.

Tips
The risotto can be served as a side to chops, sausages or chicken.

The risotto can be made into patties. Add diced cooked chicken or tuna and mix throught the risotto. Mould into pattie shape and flour, egg and breadcrumb. Place in fridge to firm up for 15-20 mins and then pan fry in a little olive oil.

Hiding vegetables
A meal with 5 vegetables! The peas and pumpkin are pureed and mixed through the risotto at the end. The zucchini, carrots and broccoli have been chopped into small dice and cooked in the risotto.

 

3. MAKING IT FUN

Creating a Scene
Rice is easy to mould so place into a cookie cutter to make a fun shape or shape into a vegetable such as carrot.

Game Time
Hand Puppet - Pretend your hand is a bare hand talking puppet of an animal of your choice. Your hand can make a duck or emu who befriends you child and helps them eat dinner. You can be extra creative by using textras to create a mouth and eyes.

Being even more creative you can easy make a sock puppet. Remember its all in the name of fun and kids love have fun.
