Rome wasn’t built in a day and nor is our classic Christmas fruit cake! We start many months in advance, first soaking the fruit in French brandy to absorb the flavour. Once added to the other ingredients, we bake long and slow, a method guaranteed to produce a rich, decadent, fruity cake with a subtle brandy flavour and delicious moist texture. Enjoy equally with a glass of wine or a cup or coffee.
